Meet Karyn and hope

about

Karyn (Car-in) is a pediatric occupational therapist and the owner of Food is Fun, Let's Eat.  She has been a pediatric occupational therapist since graduating from Samuel Merritt University in 2010. Over the years Karyn has had the pleasure of working in the schools, a private outpatient clinic, and in-home early intervention as a vendor with San Diego Regional Center.

In working with many families over the years, she has realized two things; one, that eating and family meal time is a huge part of daily life which creates a connection to those around us, and two, as a mom of a picky eater, her love for exploring, enjoying, and sharing a balance of tasty and nutritious food and meal times continues to grow.

These two areas combined led Karyn to specialize in feeding therapy, in order to help families feel more comfortable, connected, and successful with meal time in their home and the community.

Karyn currently specializes in sensory and oral motor difficulties, tethered oral tissues (TOTs), breast and bottle feeding in infants as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS), food progression, and overall pediatric feeding difficulties. She truly enjoys and values collaboration with like-minded healthcare professionals to ensure she provides the best quality care to her clients.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and their dogs, trying new foods, cooking, and traveling to new places to make adventurous memories!
